Jamshid Hamsafar
Jamshid
Born to Kurdish-Iranian parents and raised in Sanandaj, Iran, Jamshid's cultural knack for Kurdistan and Iran's endless creative music and arts inspired him to profess his undoubted adoration for singing throughout early life. Jamshid arrived in the U.S. at the age of 30 to follow his musical and artistic ambitions.
Jamshid released his first major-record album titled Naghshe Ziba in 2002. This nine-track album had was a successful debut in the Persian market. Although commencing a new chapter in life, Jamshid endured a pain breaking moment in life grieving the passing of his father whom was his life's inspiration.
During this moment, Jamshid came to realize that he still had an audience to entertain, and that his father's spirit and legacy needed to live on. He embarked on, yet, another album in 2004 this one titled Khosh Amadi. Following Naghshe Ziba, audiences increasingly favored Jamshid's choice of familial lyrics and tuneful arrangements.
Eventually, sales, crowds, and numerous entertaining venues such as concerts, validated Jamshid's persona unyielding behavior for love, culture, and challenge, which predictably paved his way to his third album titled Faribaaneh. Not too long following Faribaaneh, Jamshid had begun his suggestive thinking for a fourth album.
In the latter months of 2007, Jamshid's inauguration of Avalin Negah shadowed around not only on the traditions of the past and present, and cultural spice, but of an influential stage that cultivated him into seeing the many stages of what love has to offer. Unfortunately, Jamshid's love of life weakened once again when his mother passed away.
Jamshid released Avalin Negah in September 2008 with 12 new songs. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
