Hossein Panahi حسین پناهی
Hossein Panahi, the Iranian Actor, writer and director was born in Dezhkooh on 28 August 1956. He first went to a religious (Islamic) school and came back to his town as a religious preacher, but after a false answer he gave to a woman on purpose, he was excommunicated by his family and the whole city, so he went to Tehran to attend “Anahita” School of arts in playwriting/acting.
He started professional acting in some TV shows, and then directed his own written plays. He was most popular for the speacial childish charactor he had in his roles.
He published his collection of poems first in 1997 in seven books -“Me & Nazi”, “The Star”, “Something like life”, “Two Ducks in Fog”, “Flowerpot and the Sunshine”, “The Prophet without book” and “Heart of the Lion” and a part of his poems as audiobooks entitled “Hello, Goodbye” and “The Star” read by himself.
